Roberta Pearch & Jr. Jammers Present
Country Gospel Hoedown
Nampa Civic Center Auditorium
The Country Gospel Hoedown, presented by Roberta Pearce is set for March 8th at the Nampa Civic Center. There will be two shows, a matinee at 2:00 and an evening show at 7:30.

This program will feature the Idaho Junior Jammer Fiddlers and the Little Hoedowners, current National Grand Champion Fiddler, Katrina Nicolayeff, and Master fiddler Matthew Hartz.

The Jammer's are opening the show with Country Gospel favorites. "Keep on the Sunny side of Life" will be among the first set of songs played by the Jammer's and the Little Hoedowners will be fiddling "Will the Circle be Unbroken" both performed by the Carter family years ago on the Grand Ole Opry.

The Jammer's will also entertain the audience with music from Bill Monroe (the Father of Bluegrass). "Roanoke" "Wheel Hoss" and "Gold Rush" will get everyone tapping their toes!

Last fall at the Country Harvest Hoedown, Pearce introduced "Appalachian", cross tuned fiddle music. It was so well received that she is bringing back another set for this show. The fiddle's are tuned to the "A" Chord which creates a droning sound. The Jammer's are excited to perform "La Reel du Pendu" "Old Belle Cow" and "Snow bird on the Ashbank"

Katrina Nicolayeff and Matt Hartz will team up performing a championship style of fiddling music that will be sure to please everyone!

Pearce is offering free tickets for the Saturday Matinee for residents who live in nursing homes. Activity directors for the care homes are encouraged to call the Civic Center to reserve tickets.
