The Songs, The Orchestra, and the Classic Black Tuxedo, all hallmarks of Frank Sinatra. But take a closer look…this isn’t the chairman of the board… you’re swinging with Steve Lippia in Simply Sinatra!

Complete with  a hot, driving 10-piece band behind him, Lippia’s sound is reminiscent of the young Frank Sinatra combined with that of Harry Connick, Jr. and Bobby Darin. April 13, 2010

As the stage lights dim the anticipation grows.  Smoke and music fill the air, everyone is focused on the futuristic elevator that has been rolled out and placed at center stage.  The empty elevator springs to life as the lights reveal two shadowy figures rising from the depths below.  What we see with our eyes is somehow impossible, seconds ago the elevator was empty and yet, in grand fashion, the doors open and there stand Garry Carson & Kelsey!  The miracles continue with exotic animals and amazing larger than life illusions; even the audience gets in the act!

Into the Woods Music Theater of Idaho presents
Into the Woods
June 18-26, 2010

An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch...who raps? They’re all among the cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s fractured fairy tale. When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy in the style of ”The Princess Bride” becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

Cinderella Music Theater of Idaho presents
Cinderella
December 3-11, 2010

The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.
